Who We Are!

If you're reading this, you're probably wondering who these young ladies are?

Chic and Fabulosity: Without Breaking the Bank, was created by two fashion lovers; Vikki and Alejandra. Both young ladies are from and currently reside in Saint Louis, Missouri. They met while in high school during their sophomore year and have been besties ever since!

Both have always known they loved fashion, but didn't know in what direction that love would take them.

After high school, Alejandra went on to pursue a formal education in Fashion at a major university, while Vikki went on to pursue a formal education in Aesthetics and Business.

So, are they professionals? Not yet, but they are well on their way to achieving their fashion goals!

Now you're sitting here wondering how they can possibly help you? Well, they are here to show you how you can be chic and fabulous without spending your whole paycheck!

Now here's a little more background on the budding fashionistas...

Vikki: Hi everyone! I am a 19 year old fashion lover, as stated above. I am currently enrolled at an institute of higher learning for Aesthetics. After achieving my degree in Aesthetics, I am planning on going back for a course in Nail Technology. After getting experience in the work place for these two degrees', I am planning on going to a two year college to get a degree in Business or Business Management. My dream goal is to one day own my own salon!

Currently, I work as an Administrative Assistant, where the money is ok, but not good enough to shop at such places as Nordstrom's or Saks Fifth Avenue, so I have to work with stores that are trendier and less expensive. [And there is absolutely nothing wrong with that, especially considering today's economy!]

I am a tall girl who was blessed with curves, so finding clothes to fit me is a pain in the ass. One of my absolute favorite stores to shop at is TORRID! [www.Torrid.com] They offer great quality clothing for us thick ladies, for an inexpensive price, and they carry name brands such as BabyPhat, Dickies, and AppleBottoms. Their sizes ranges from a 12 to a 26, and offer shoes up to a size 12. They also offer extra tall pants which is great for me. Also, I like to shop at Deb for cute trendy shirts and dresses.

I love, love, love shopping, but I don't love it enough to get myself into debt! Have fun shopping, but do it wisely-SHOP SALES!

Alejandra: Hola! I am a soon to be 19 year old Fashion Merchandising student at a university in the Midwest and I will be entering my sophomore year in Fall '08. I have always known I would be involved in something to do with clothing...After all I had my very first purse at the ripe 'ol age of 2!

It took me awhile to develop a real sense of taste though. I have an ifinity for tacky, sparkly, bright things! I still incorporate those fun things into my wardrobe, but in a tasteful way. I love to get dressed up, put on a face full of makeup and hit the town! But, being a college student and maintaining the look I want to achieve can be a bit tough....even for a natural born penny pincher like myself.

I keep myself presentable and out of debt by ONLY , and I do mean ONLY buying everyday clothing, makeup, and shoes that are on sale OR $20 and under! I know you're thinking "No way!!" But I'm telling you YES...and you can too!

So happy shopping ladies and gents, but remember not to dig yourself in a Couture hole...looking good isn't it worth it if you don't have money to go out and have fun in your new dress!
